IT’S DONE… the project I started working on clear back in
MAY is finally done :) I am so happy to finally present my 2nd
grade math vocabulary word wall cards!
I don’t know about you, but switching to the common core was a HUGE jump
from what 2nd grade used to be just a few years ago! I have been teaching with the Common Core
edition of “Go Math” for the past 2 years and am FINALLY starting to get the
hang of it… but the vocabulary… oh my goodness… I have searched high and low
for a really great vocabulary resource, because I was seriously at the point
where I would have MUCH rather paid for a set that was already done than have to
make it myself (maybe that’s why I’m just now getting around to finishing it??)
Well, I was never able to find something that was exactly what I was looking
for, so I started making my own. Anyway,
it’s finally DONE and I would love to give away 2 copies to some awesome 2nd
grade teachers!
Take a look at these
cards…. Each card includes a bright picture and a kid-friendly definition that
makes it easy for the kids to understand.
You know the drill by now… enter using the rafflecopter below! And if you can’t wait to have these, they are
on
sale for 20% off this weekend in my TPT store :) The giveaway will close Saturday at midnight and I'll post the winners Sunday morning... my store will be on sale for 20% off through Sunday night! Have a great weekend!!
We use Singapore Math!
ReplyDeleteWe have switched to a new math program this year. I am not quite sure which one was chosen. We looked at several and my principal was going to choose. I do know it is aligned to the core. I have been searching for math word wall cards for a while so this would be great!!!!

We are using Envision Math. I think it's a good program for the initial lesson, but I usually have to supplement a lot.
ReplyDeleteThese cards look great! Thanks for the hard work.
ReplyDeleteMy school uses Envision Math.
ReplyDeleteWe use Go Math, but do not have the updated CC version. We got so many years free when we signed up, and they sent the OLD ONES! Not very good customer relations skills in my humble opinion. This would be extremely helpful to my students and myself. PICK ME! PICK ME!
ReplyDeleteWe use My Math by McGraw-Hill. This will be our first year using it!
ReplyDeleteWe also use Go Math and it is so true about the vocabulary! I taught 3rd grade math last year, but I am teaching 2nd grade math this year. These will be so perfect! Thank you for taking all the time to make them and now to share them. I would love to win these!
ReplyDeleteWe use Everyday Math. It is good if your students are good in math...otherwise I could see it being too quick. (A new lesson a day.)
ReplyDeletewe are starting Saxon Math this year for the younger grades.
ReplyDeleteWe are piloting the program Envision Math
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway - hope I win! I love your vocab cards!

We don't have a math program until our state officially adopts CC and our school board adopts it. We have been doing CC for 2 years now.
ReplyDeleteNo specific program--we use our basals and CScope
ReplyDeleteWould love to win!
After adopting CC, my district decided not to adopt any program OR textbook. It's pretty much teach from the standard, which is good...but there's lots of work in creating/finding quality materials! I would LOVE to win the vocabulary cards - they are FANTASTIC!

ReplyDeleteNot really a specific math program. We just follow the approved math text-book
